{"id":23252,"date":"2022-02-16T15:14:41","date_gmt":"2022-02-16T20:14:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hy-tek.com\/?post_type=resources&#038;p=23252"},"modified":"2022-09-08T15:08:33","modified_gmt":"2022-09-08T19:08:33","slug":"government-administration-records","status":"publish","type":"resources","link":"https:\/\/hy-tek.com\/resources\/government-administration-records\/","title":{"rendered":"Government Administration Records"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong> Missouri<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Before<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The client\u2019s Records Center and Extension Site 1 in Lee\u2019s Summit has an expiring lease and substantial capacity expansion need to support the projected future record growth.\u00a0 With the need to store 2.9M linear feet of records by 2030, a substantially dense, efficient and innovative solution was required to support the growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Results<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A Program of Requirements (POR) was developed for the new facility that incorporated a highly automated system for record storage and retrieval.\u00a0 This system included an initial 8 vault Autostore or Attabotics ASRS solution at 250K cubic feet of files per vault, a high-speed routing system to automate and accelerate record movement throughout the facility and an automated high-priority Autonomous Mobile Robot system to expedite priority requests to the downstream destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How We Did It<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>JSC, in partnership with Jacobs, supported the process through a multi-phased process that included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Space Planning \u2013 to properly size and scope the facility by functional area<\/li><li>Technology Assessment \u2013 to identify the right technology fit that provided a return on investment<\/li><li>Detailed Design \u2013 to build a detailed concept design of the system and processes<\/li><li>Requirements Definition \u2013 to define the system and equipment requirements at a detailed functional level<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What Is Next<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JSC, in partnership with Jacobs, is currently engaged in a POR development process to install a test ASRS system in the existing NRC, which will serve as a proof of concept for the future state NRC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Planned System<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/MdPIfNchnkM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Video Animation of the System<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Location: Missouri Before The client\u2019s Records Center and Extension Site 1 in Lee\u2019s Summit has an expiring lease and substantial capacity expansion need to support the projected future record growth.\u00a0 With the need to store 2.9M linear feet of records by 2030, a substantially dense, efficient and innovative solution was required to support the growth.
